I have 3 engineers a technical supervisor and myself that all use Visio 2010 standard.
The engineers use a shared public drive for storing drawings, and some of these go back to 2004.
There have been several instaces where one of the engineers would not be able to open a drawing, when this happens It gives an error stating the .dwg or .dfx file can not be opened.
The files are not .dwg or .dfx files but visio apparently thinks they are.
So when this occurs the tech supervisor or I will go into the folder and using visio 2010 standard just like the engineers will be able to open the file no problem. If I save the drawing back to the folder and overwrite the original then the engineers will be able to open it no problem.
This has been going on for months and is quite frustrating, I have searched every forum I could find and have not found anyone with this particular issue.
Any help would be Greatly appreciated.
