I have used Visio 2007 for a while to maintain our network map containing several switches and over 100 access points. In Visio 2007 I was able to save the document as a web page, where if I opened it in Internet Explorer, I could search and find e.g. a switch including the shape data (IP, rack#, room#, etc).
I installed the Visio 2010 beta to be able to save the document as a web page in SVG format so that I could get the same features in other browsers, such as Firefox, Safari and Chrome.
However, after trying to export the document to SVG, VML and other formats in 2010, I am now unable to properly search for shapes and their shape data, even in IE! The resulting web page in 2007 was nice because you could zoom, and an arrow would appear over the shapes that you searched for.
How can I get this feature to work in 2010?
