How do I get a "room" object's dimensions to show all the time (and larger) ?

While I'm editing a "room" object in Visio 2010 I can see the dimensions, just outside the box of the room's shape (thought they're in gray text and barely visible).

But when I've finished editing the built-in dimensions disappear.

Is there a way to:

1. enable the built-in dimensions to show all the time, and
2. if the answer to "1." is "yes", to make the dimension text darker and larger?
