Door dimension on floor plan

How do I remove a dimension from a door inserted into a floor plan? I am trying to edit another users file and it shows the dimension of the door and I dont want to see it. When I create a floor plan and insert a door it will only show the dimension until I click away from it. Is there a setting I am missing? I thought it might be themacros however they are not enabled.
