I just updated Visio 2010 to 2013, and have been shocked by the amount of real estate taken up by the ribbon. On my 24" display at 1920x1080 resolution, I'm left with about a 4" strip to do my drawings in. I've tried to do the Customize ribbon thing, but without much success. The plain bare facts of the matter are:
(1) the icons are just too big, and
(2) there's entirely too many of them.
In Visio 2010, most of the ribbon items took up a single row. In 2013, it's typically 3 or more.
I've seen complaints about this, dating back to the initial release in 2013.
Has anyone found a way to reduce the acreage of the ribbon?
