I have a web server that hosts some Visio files. The files were created in Visio 2013 and have the .vsdx extension. However, when people with Visio 2013 installed go to download the files using IE 11, they are prompted to save the file with a .vsd extension.
When they do that, Visio 2013 cannot open the file. It tries to open it but then displays a message saying that the file may be corrupted. Those of us who do not have Visio 2013 installed just get the .vsdx file rendered in the web browser. But we really need
the Visio 2013 users to be able to easily download these files. Any suggestions? We're in a corporate environment running Windows 7 and IE11 with Office 2013 & Visio 2013. Thank you.
