I have been using Visio Services linked to SharePoint lists, but I understand I should be able to use data from Project Server (via the ODC?) in the same way.
I can access Excel reports from Project Server which use the OLAP Cubes as a data connection perfectly fine.
All I’ve been doing so far is clicking "Link Data to Shapes",
Which gives me the following screen. I've been assuming that I just need to paste in a link to an ODC from Project Server (e.g. the Timsheet OLAP Cube .odc link), so I've been choosing "Previously created connection"
And then just pasting in the .odc link here:
However, this has been giving me the following error:
Is trying to link to Project Server via a .odc link the correct way or not? Indicentally (and I'm not very technical so bear with me), I noticed that in Excel (where the ODC to the Project Server OLAP Cubes does seem to work), on the Authentication Settings for the Connection Properties in Excel it uses "SSS" and it lists in the field next to it an 'SSD ID', but I can't find a similar option for this in Visio. Is this is maybe the problem?
