Visual Studio 2010 C++ Express won't install on my computer.

I'm trying to install Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Expres on to my computer. I am running a Windows 7 Home 64- bit OS. I've tried multiple things like running Micosoft Fixit and the issue still won't resolve. 
The program gets through the setup process, but when it starts to install it says that Micosoft Visual Studio 2010 Express Prerequisites x64 could not install, and that Micosoft Visual C++ 2010 Express - ENU was not attempted to install.
