I've been using Visio 2002 for over 20 years at work, I routinely copy images from Adobe Illustrator and paste them into my Visio drawing and then ungroup the image. Suddenly last month the ungroup command didn't work anymore. When I click ungroup the
images disappear. My IT guy tried re-installing Visio for me and that didn't work and he's tried getting rid of recent Microsoft updates but that hasn't worked. Trying to work around using the ungroup command really is hampering my output
at work. We can't think of a solution. Does anyone know of any reason why this is happening and how to fix the problem?

Visio 2013 closes after entering license key

On a fresh Visio 2013 install, I do a change key and enter my 25 charter Retail MAK key. I see the green check box and accept. I notice the "Change key" area is now gone and but it does not say the product is activated. All features of Visio work fine until I close it for the first time. When I launch Visio the next time, a mandatory EUL agreement pop-up appears. Clicking either Agree or View Agreement results in Vision closing. I can't get past this point of the pop-up on subsequent launches. I took a packet capture and see communication to watson.telemetry.microsoft.com IP 51.143.111.7 while accepting the EUL. I have 2 brand new laptops with the same problem. A 3rd laptop is working but the end user who is not with the company now said he had to mess around with it for hours doing suggestions he found in forums.
Microsoft Licensing Support has uninstalled/installed the MS Office and Visio keys multiple times with vb scripts but the symptom continues. Displaying the Office 2019 and Visio 2013 licenses shows the status ---LICENSED---. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

How to create a connection to a excel workbook and go thru the worksheets grab their names and put them on rectangles in a visio drawing?
I'm trying to connect to excel but using the data wizard don't work for me. I need to import the names of each worksheet in the excel workbook and then automatically create a rectangle in visio for each worksheet and then using the .text property for the
shape assign each rectangle the worksheet name automatically using the vsoShape text property. Later I will have to import more data from the worksheets but if I have a recordset already I should be able to figure it out. Thanks

How to find 'push button in Flow' as the trigger for a BPMN diagram that will be export to MS Flow?
Hi, I created a simple BPMN diagram. I would like the process to be initiated by pushing a button in MS Flow. I cannot find the trigger when attempting to map the diagram in the Prepare to Export process. I can find the trigger when creating a new
workflow in Flow, independent of Visio. Any suggestions? -Rick

Visio 2016 Corrupt diagrams
Visio 2016 seems to be corrupting many of my diagrams. How they should look:

What could be causing this? How do I correct it? The Visio Version is:
Visio Version 1808 (Build 10730.20348 Click-to-Run)
running on Windows 10.
Clicking the checkbox "Disable hardware graphics acceleration" fixed the issue but I am interested to understand why this suddenly started happening.

Visio 2016 Search Stopped Working
Hello,
I'm hoping someone has a fix - I'm running Windows 7 w/Visio Professional 2016 32bit and out of the blue the shape search feature stopped working.
I've rebooted, tried doing a repair, I made sure 'My Shapes' was indexed by Windows Search - still no search for me! Not sure if it's related but I recently uninstalled Visio 2013 as well as added a couple file system locations to my search index.

Visio 2016 - Templates with no shapes
On my new laptop, I just installed Visio 2016 Standard, and I already miss Visio 2013 on my old laptop. In Visio 2016, File | New | Featured offers templates that I want to use, such as Database Model Diagram and UML Class. But when I create a document, I don't get any shapes!
Note that I do not want to reverse-engineer anything, I just want to draw an E-R diagram or Class diagram.
The Visio Add-in for Database Modeling does not help - I'm not using Visio for Office 365.
What is going on?

I can't get two "room" objects to "glue" together in a floor plan
I can 't get two rooms to "glue" together in Visio 2010.
I've tried several ways to drag the "room" objects and handles around the floor plan but not only do the rooms not glue to each other, they snap or glue to other things (like ruler divisions), making it almost impossible to get the room walls to overlap cleanly.
I found a forum posting somewhere where the respondent only suggested verifying default settings and I matched mine up with those, but that thread went cold without a solution.
What settings are required, and what steps are required, to glue two "room" objects together in Visio 2010?

Visio 2013 freezes editing drawing
I have a user that keeps having issue's with visio 2013. I have re installed, repaired, checked add-on's. Can't figure out why there visio keeps freezing up while highlighting a drawing. The main file size she is opening up is only 4.8
MB. Does anyone have any ideas what could be the issue.

Picture placeholders in Visio
We are using Visio to annotate pictures and plans with Arrows, lines of route . At present we import a picture, resize for each picture currently 6 per page, usually about 32 per file. Is there a way of setting up a template to right click
change picture to browse for the pictures which will automatically pull the image in and fit it to the frame. In the same way that the org chart templates allow but I dont need any text or banners, just a simple rectangle and image. Its driving
me mad as surely it must be possible but I am stumped..

How to use Portrait and Landscape page orientations on different tabs or pages in same document in Visio 2019?
Seems like I am unable to utilize portrait page/print orientations on one tab and landscape on another in Visio 2019. I've googled and read several items and unable to find a solution. Is this something that isn't possible in 2019? I don't see a way to create sections or page breaks, etc. so this is possible. No way to uniquely select specific tabs to then apply orientations and settings only to those tabs/pages.

Visio 2013 locking up
I have Visio 2013 and in the last few days it keeps locking up when working. If I am modifying a file (any file not one specific) it allows me to click on one item and then freezes. The only way to get it to do anything including closing the program is to select another program and then come back. This happens every time. Not sure what has changed that would cause this to happen as it has been running fine for the last few years.

Connection to azure SQL DB using Active Directory - Integrated

I need to use data hosted on a Azure SQL Server and the connection should be done using theActive Directory -
Integrated option. When trying to connect to SQL Server in Visio only I get the options of Windows Authentication or with User Name and Password. both options don't work. Is there any solution?

How to set the default colour and weigth of connectors
When I draw connectors I always have to set the colour and weigth manually after I have drawn the connector. Is there a way to change the default colour and weigth of new connectors and is there a way of having "sets" of colour and weitgth settings

Visio 2016 error with Autocad dwg inserted
Visio 2016 will insert CAD dwg v2000 and v2007 into page. Save the document as VSDX file. close Visio 2016. reopen the VSDX file with the inserted CAD file, I receive this error
'cannot open the file. The file may not be a DWG or DXF file, It may not be in a supported version of the DWG file format, or it may be corrupted. check the file and try again'
we created a new CAD drawing with just a line and saved to v2000 and v2007 dwg and dxf. same error.
we are using AutoCAD Architectural 2017

Problem with adding child elements in WBS Modeler
HI,
I am using wbs modeler on VISIO Online Plan 2... The problem I have at the moment is about adding child elements. When I click on "Add child element" nothing happens. It used to be new small screen where I can add couple of child elements.
