There used to be a function that allowed me to auto number the boxes in Visio. I cant remember what it is called so can anyone help me with that so that I can add it to my customised ribbon?

Visio 2016 Crashes and work lost to last manual save
Hi,
I can't stop my Visio 2016 from crashing. I have the auto save option set to 10 mins but no auto save files exist on my machine. This is very frustrating as I have lost several hours of work and even more trying to find my auto saved files. When Visio crashes, it will open the application back up, spin the thinking wheel for several minutes but not open my last file. I have to select the file and it reverts back to my last manually saved time frame.
The saving option shows to be saving to: C:\Users\kmusic\Documents\SharePoint Drafts\; however this is not a location on my machine. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Connectors don't stick to shapes anymore
Hello,
I have been working on a visio diagram with many pages. After a while, the connectors don't stick to the shapes anymore. i.e. I have two squar shapes and using an arrow to connect them (flow chart). Up to this point the arrows (connectors) were sitcking on both ends to the shapes and if I move the shapes arrow adjusted itself too. Now the arrow end stays where it was when I move the shape.
Auto connect option in the advanced menu is on. This has happened to me in the past also, after working on a document for a while this annoying issue came abut. BTW, this is visio 2010.

visio pro 2016 equation icon is greyed out
visio profession running under windows 10. New install, added the equation editor to the toolbar, but it is greyed out.

How do I insert an equation?
There is no equation in the insert tab.
I added to the quick access toolbar, equation editor, edit formula, and insert function. But every one of them is greyed out.

Drag n Drop of multiple rows of External Data (Excel) to Visio is Diagonal
I love the Visio integration that allows me to link a data source or Excel spreadsheet to Visio. However it is irritating that if I drag a bunch of rows from External Data to the Visio canvas, they are created as a single diagonal line of objects. It would be a lot easier to rearrange and align groups of objects if they were in a straight line, or even better, could be auto arranged inside a container. Is there any configuration that can affect the multi-selected drag n drop behavior? Thanks!

Visio Online Drawing Page Titles not displaying in Teams, SharePoint or Visio Online.

Issue for converting visio into AutoCAD dwg
I used the "Save as dwg" function within Visio to create an AutoCAD dwg file. But I found that the position of the text was changed on the AutoCAD when Visio had the shapes with FlipY
and angle of 90 or 180 degrees in Visio. I think that Flip seems to be wrong to calculate the angle when Visio converts the format into AutoCAD dwg. Who knows reason and the solution?

Change text direction in cross-platform flowchart
Visio 2010 Standard Edition
Hi all,
How do I change the text direction in a horizontal swimlane shape? The text in the first column is vertically aligned and I would like this to be horizontally displayed.
Also, if I copied a cylindrical timeline from a different to a cross-platform page, it looses all its formatting such as milestones, font, etc.. I tried different options available under 'paste', but I still didn't get the original one. Is there a way I can copy all the items created in a different to a file that has a cross-platform flowchart?

When Vision installed in machine SP desinger got effected

When Clicking Accept, the software automatically close and do nothing.
Already reinstalled and restarted workstation, but still the same issue
I addressed the user as below after troubleshooting :
Please do as below:
- First please find out which MS office version.
If MS Office is 32 bitàinstall 32 bit designer
If MS office is 64 bità install 64 bit designer
- And uninstall SP designer from control panel before you staring installing SP designer again. Navigate to control panel->Uninstall a program->Uninstall SharePoint designer from here. And begin installing from scratch
- When there is existing 32 bit designer it will not allow 64 bit designer.
- Please make sure all the SP version designer belongs to same bits (2007 ,10 and 13 should be either 32 bit or 64 bit as per the MS Office version.

Visio 2016 crashes constantly
Visio 2016 Pro keeps crashing. I am running Windows 10 with 32GB RAM.
I have tried:
-Running in safe mode
-Online repair of both Office 2016 ProPlus and Visio 2016
-Uninstall/Reinstall Office 2016 ProPlus and Visio 2016
-Windows Update
-Disabling hardware graphics acceleration

Hand Drawn Lines - Rotate: Flip Horizontal
I have some shapes made in Visio and some Hand Drawn lines that were made using the Microsoft draw tool. When I select them all together and use the Rotate tool and flip horizontal the shapes flip horizontally but the hand drawings flip both horizontally as well as vertically in what looks to be a mismatch of lines and shapes. In the previous version of Visio I did not have this problem. I have tried to group them first and I have the same problem. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Visio 2016 loading problem
Hello,
we have a huge Visio 2016 loading performance problem.
I have the task to convert our huge base of Visio diagrams with Code for live telemetry access. Before, all these diagrams were running on Visio 2010 and loading times, for the bigger one's were up to 1min, which was commonly accepted by our users.After converting these *.vsd diagrams to *.vsdm format (just by loading and storing with Visio 2016), the loading time increases now dramatically.
The smaller files take now 55sec instead of 18sec to load (still kind of acceptable), but the bigger files to load increased from ~1min to 65min (yes, over one hour). Once loaded they seem to work correctly, even on 4K screens.
Also closing these bigger files (max. 25MB) takes much more time, up to a minute. The title bar often shows "Not responding".
I realized that the file size reduced by half, which is good.
We have made tests on many different physical and virtual machines, same result. What is the problem here with Visio 2016 ? Is there any way to improve this bad behavior ?
My workstation is a Windows 10 Enterprise LTSB with 24GB of RAM and a powerful Intel Xeon processor.

Unable to see MySQL triggers, views and stored procedures from Visio 2019
Hi Team,
I would like to use Visio 2019 as a primary modeling solution (I'm currently using Visual Paradigm)
In Visio 2019, it seems possible to connect to MySQL Database.
Unfortunately, i only see tables, index and foreign keys but unable to load MySQL views, triggers and stored procedures.
This is what i've been done at this time:
1/ Install latest 64 bits MySQL ODBC driver (version 8.00.16.00)
2/ create a user DSN to my MySQL database stored in Azure
3/ Connect to the database via ODBC in Visio 2019
Next step, decide which types of objects i need to import:
As you can see: views, triggers and stored procedures are greyed out.
Any idea how to solve this issue ?
For your records, everything is working well with other diagram solutions like Visual Paradigm or MySQL Workbench.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Having problems pasting Visio 2013 Drawings into Word 2013
Hello I am having issues pasting Visio 2013 drawings into Word 2013. For some reason when I select and copy the visio drawing into Word 2013, a portion of the drawing is cut-off and I cannot resize it to fit the entire drawing. I can double-click the drawing
but it only gets me back into Visio. I just want the entire drawing to show up correctly when I paste into Word. Never had this problem with previous versions! Please help!!!

Where are the auto recovery files stored for Visio 2010?
I have auto recovery set for every 5 minutes. I have been working on a file that has been saved several times a day. Today when just moving a shape Viso 2010 crashed after I had been working on the file for over 2 hours. Auto recovery popped up every 5 minutes indicating it was saving the file. After the crash the ony file I could find was the file as it was when I first opened it this AM. None of the work done today was saved.
Did auto recovery completely fail? Where can I look for the auto recovery file?
I have not done a reboot because I am afraid that if the file exits it will be gone for sure if I reboot. Any suggestions are welcome.
There must be a temp file or something that I can look for but not sure what the extension would be or the location.

How to make circle shape to appear behind the picture (Making DVD label)
Hello, can post links or pics until my acc is veryfied so I will try to describe it as much as i can.
I have visio project where i have to do DVD label. There is the inner shepe circle (like the hole of DVD) and outer one(to see how big part of picture will the label will be. Something like this -> (o) the O and brackets are the white shapes and between it I have picture.
My problem is that I have to insert new picture but it always goes under the DVD shapes so i cant see it. How do I make it so its over the picture? I tried to find layers setting but cant really see it as I am really new user.

Visio Pro 2019 - Hangs When Using Keyboard Shortcuts
I have a fresh install of Visio Pro 2019 64 bit on a Windows 10 Pro 64 bit PC running v1903. When I try to use the shortcut keys (CTRL, ALT, ARROW, SHIFT etc) after selecting a shape with my mouse, the app hangs. When I minimise and maximise, the hang
is gone until I depress a keyboard key again. No issue on Office 2019 Pro. No issue with copy paste using the mouse. Tried a repair. Tried reinstalling twice. Tried Safe Mode. Nada. HELP!!!
